ONS 2024: 40+ stands delivered in Stavanger
Challenge
ONS is one of the most demanding exhibition weeks in Stavanger, with tight rigging windows, high technical expectations, and many parallel deliveries in the same hall period. In 2024, we had to handle more than 40 unique stands and multiple national pavilions with no room for delay.
Solution
We structured the delivery as one coordinated project flow with dedicated teams for design, production, logistics, and installation. That gave us clear prioritisation, better hall-sequencing control, and fast handling of late changes.
Result
All stands were delivered on time, the pavilions were ready for opening, and Show Off received strong feedback on execution, finish, and capacity during one of the year's most complex exhibition productions.
The assignment
ONS 2024 brought an international energy and industry audience to Stavanger. For Show Off, that meant delivering more than 40 stands in the same project window, ranging from compact customer stands to larger national pavilions with their own brand, logistics, and completion requirements.
The challenge
When many stands need to be delivered at the same time, production is only part of the problem. Coordination matters just as much:
- different customer requirements and design directions
- limited venue access and rigging slots
- dependencies between transport, unloading, and installation
- high expectations for finish at an international event
At ONS, there is very little margin for delays. Everything has to be ready when the doors open.
The solution
We solved the assignment through disciplined project management inside one shared delivery model:
- design and production schedules per stand and pavilion
- coordinated transport into the halls
- a dedicated installation crew with clear responsibilities
- continuous handling of changes all the way up to final handover
This made it possible to keep control even when many deliveries had to happen in parallel.
The result
The project was delivered as planned, with finished stands and pavilions ready to receive visitors at opening. For the exhibitors, that created confidence in a critical trade show week. For Show Off, the project confirmed our ability to handle large volumes and high complexity in our home market of Stavanger.
