Show Off in Sandnes delivers complete wayfinding for buildings and outdoor areas, from sign plan and design to production and installation. We plan wayfinding as one coherent whole and design it to meet universal design requirements, so everyone can find their way, whether they see well or not. This is an area we deliver at volume and are investing in further.
What is wayfinding?
Wayfinding is a complete sign system that helps people orient themselves in and around a building. It covers everything from exterior directional signs and floor references to room numbering, ceiling-hung signs, tactile signs and guide paths. A good wayfinding system is planned as a whole, not as single signs, and is designed to meet universal design requirements.
Why choose Show Off for wayfinding?
We have our own sign department with design, production in Sandnes and our own installers, plus people with long experience in wayfinding and universal design. That means one supplier for the whole job: sign plan, design, production, installation and documentation, with a dedicated project manager and one point of contact.
We deliver wayfinding at volume to commercial buildings, public buildings, healthcare buildings and outdoor areas, and we are glad to take over ongoing projects that have stalled.
Universal design and TEK17
Wayfinding is a central part of universal design. The requirements in the Norwegian building regulations (TEK17) and the standard NS 11001 require signs and marking to be easy to perceive for everyone. In practice this means:
- Contrast and legibility: clear contrast between text and background, and text size suited to reading distance.
- Tactile signs and Braille: raised text, symbols and Braille where required.
- Guide paths: tactile guide paths and warning fields that lead safely through the building.
- Placement and height: signs mounted at the right height and in predictable places.
- A consistent system: the same logic, colours and symbols throughout the building.
We assess every project against these requirements and document the delivery.
What does wayfinding cost?
Wayfinding is priced per project. A wayfinding job is made up of the sign plan, the number and types of signs, materials, installation and universal design requirements, so the price depends on the scope of the building or area. Ask for a no-obligation quote and you get a clear price picture for your project. You get a reply to your enquiry within 24 hours on weekdays.

Industry solutions
Wayfinding and Universal Design tailored to your industry:
Construction
The construction industry in Norway is one of the country's largest sectors, with thousands of businesses ranging from sole traders to large contractors. Visibility on building sites, on the road, and towards potential clients is essential for growth and credibility in a highly competitive market.
Real Estate
The real estate industry lives on first impressions. Whether it is office buildings, residential developments, or commercial properties, professional signage and decor are key to attracting tenants, buyers, and building a strong brand in the local market.
Hospitality
Restaurants, hotels, and hospitality venues compete for the attention of guests and tourists. Facade signs that draw people in, interior decor that creates ambiance, and event branding that makes experiences memorable are all critical factors for success in the hospitality industry.
Technology
Technology companies in Norway, from startups to established players, need to communicate innovation and expertise visually. Trade show stands at industry expos, office branding that attracts talent, and vehicle wraps on company cars are all important tools for building brand presence in the tech sector.
Healthcare
The healthcare sector has unique needs for signage and visual communication. Patient guidance through wayfinding signs, vehicle branding for home care vehicles, and privacy film on glass walls are all solutions that contribute to safety, trust, and a professional healthcare environment.
Transport & Logistics
The transport and logistics industry depends on a visible and consistent fleet identity. With vehicles on the road every day across the country, fleet wrapping is the most cost-effective form of advertising. Consistent branding across trucks, vans, and trailers creates professionalism and trust.
Public Sector
Public sector organisations such as municipalities, county authorities, and government agencies need clear and accessible visual communication. Wayfinding in public buildings, project signage at developments, and materials for public events require durable, professional solutions that reach all citizens.
Events & Festivals
The events and festivals industry is characterised by tight deadlines, large formats, and the need for visual impact. From stage backdrops and banners to exhibition stands and promotional items, organisers need solutions that create atmosphere, are quick to install, and can withstand weather in both indoor and outdoor settings.
