17 exhibition stands delivered at Nor-Shipping 2025. From concept and design, through production in Sandnes, to finished stands at Nova Spektrum in Lillestrøm. For us, this was one of the most demanding and rewarding weeks of the year.

Nor-Shipping 2025 set records across the board: 63,698 visitors, 1,012 exhibitors from 50 countries and 23,761 square metres of exhibition space. The event was bigger than ever, and the expectations from exhibitors matched.

What is Nor-Shipping?

Nor-Shipping is one of the world's three leading maritime exhibitions, alongside Posidonia in Athens and SMM in Hamburg. The event is held biennially in Lillestrøm, covering the entire maritime value chain: from shipbuilding and equipment to green shipping and maritime finance.

The 2025 edition marked the event's 60th anniversary and 30th staging. The theme was #Future-Proof. The programme included the Ocean Leadership Conference, a new LNG Conference, Deepsea Minerals Conference and the TradeWinds Shipowners Forum. DNV and DNB served as main partners.

For maritime companies in Norway and internationally, Nor-Shipping is the week where contracts are signed, relationships are built and new technology is presented.

17 stands: From Sandnes to Lillestrøm

Delivering exhibition stands in Lillestrøm from our workshop in Sandnes is a logistics operation. It is 530 kilometres by truck, and everything must be planned down to the hour.

For Nor-Shipping 2025, that meant:

  • project management for 17 separate clients in parallel
  • production of all stands in Sandnes in the weeks before the event
  • coordinated transport to Lillestrøm with multiple trucks
  • installation in the correct sequence according to hall plans and access times
  • our own team on site throughout the rigging and exhibition period
  • dismantling and return transport after the last day

Timelines are tight. Nova Spektrum provides limited rigging access, and with over 1,000 exhibitors in the halls, traffic is intense. That is when it pays to have people who know the routines.

What we delivered

The stands ranged from compact modular solutions to large custom builds with multiple zones. A selection:

  • large stands with elevated branding, lighting and product display (GEA, Framo, Furuno)
  • stands with interactive technology displays and screen solutions (JRC, WAGO)
  • compact, brand-profiled stands for effective presence
  • stands in the Norwegian pavilion area with integrated product demos (Øglænd System)
  • full project management from brief to finished stand and dismantling

The maritime industry sets high standards

The maritime sector is demanding. Exhibitors represent companies with international profiles and strong brands. The stand must match.

That means:

  • Quality in materials and finish: Visible details, solid construction, clean transitions.
  • Functional design: Room for product display, screens, meeting areas and informal conversations. All in the same stand.
  • International audience: Signage, graphics and communication must work for visitors from over 100 countries.

We have built stands at Nor-Shipping, SMM in Hamburg and Marintec in Shanghai. That experience means we understand what the maritime industry expects.

What we are taking forward

Every exhibition brings new lessons. From Nor-Shipping 2025, we take three things:

  1. Long-distance logistics need buffer time. Sandnes to Lillestrøm is a full day by truck. Unexpected delays happen. We now plan with extra buffer days for transport to exhibitions outside Rogaland.

  2. Standard components with tailored graphics work well at maritime exhibitions. Several of our clients chose modular frames with custom large-format print. It delivered a professional result at lower cost, with shorter build time in the hall.

  3. Being present throughout the entire event makes a difference. When our team is on site from first to last day, we can fix small things as they come up. A screen that needs adjusting, graphics that need correcting, furniture that needs swapping. It gives the client peace of mind.
