OTD Energy 2025: How We Delivered 50+ Exhibition Stands in Stavanger
At OTD Energy 2025, Show Off delivered more than 50 exhibition stands at Stavanger Forum. A record event with 350 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors. Here is how we made it happen.

More than 50 exhibition stands delivered at a single event. That was the result when Show Off served as stand supplier at OTD Energy 2025 in Stavanger Forum on 15-16 October. It is the largest single-event delivery in the company's history, and it did not happen by accident.
OTD Energy 2025 set records with 350 exhibitors, approximately 20,000 visitors and participants from more than 30 countries. The exhibition was sold out. The energy in the halls was palpable.
What is OTD Energy?
OTD Energy is Norway's leading exhibition and conference for the offshore and energy sector. The motto is "For the Suppliers, By the Suppliers", and the event has been a key meeting place for the industry since 1999.
In the 2025 edition, growth was clear: nearly 40 per cent more visitors than in 2023. The programme included the Offshore Wind Conference, the EPS-Summit and Equinor Global Supplier Day. The evening before, the Energy Outlook & Networking event at Clarion Hotel Energy gathered around 500 attendees.
For many supplier companies in the Stavanger region, OTD is the most important arena of the year for meeting existing clients and making new connections.
50+ stands: What it takes in practice
Delivering one exhibition stand is a project. Delivering more than 50 at the same time is a logistics operation.
Each stand has its own client, its own budget, its own timeline and its own design requirements. But they all go into the same hall, are built within the same rigging window and must be ready when the doors open.
That means:
- parallel project management for 50+ clients with different needs
- coordinated transport from our workshop in Sandnes to Stavanger Forum
- sequenced installation so stands are built in the right order in the hall
- a team on site throughout the rigging period, ready to solve whatever comes up
- dismantling and return at the same coordinated pace after the event
Being 15 minutes from Stavanger Forum helps. But it is the planning ahead of time that determines whether everything actually runs smoothly.
What we delivered
The stands ranged from compact modular solutions to larger custom builds with multiple zones. Here is a selection of what we delivered:
- custom stands with meeting areas, product displays and large screens
- modular stands with branded graphic walls and lighting
- compact stands for companies needing an effective presence without a large footprint
- upgrades and adaptations of existing stands from previous events
- full project management from brief to finished installation and dismantling
Among the clients were companies such as Energy X, Steelwork, WAGO, Bring Offshore Logistics, Nordic Crane, RelyOn Simulation, Elcor and a range of other players in the energy sector.

Why many exhibitors choose the same supplier
When more than 50 exhibitors use the same stand supplier at one event, it is not a coincidence. It provides concrete advantages:
- Shared logistics: Fewer trucks, better coordination with hall management, less waiting time.
- Knowledge of the venue: We know Stavanger Forum from ONS, OTD and a range of other events. We know how power, rigging and access work.
- Faster problem solving: When the team is already on site, it takes minutes, not hours, to fix something that is not right.
- Reuse and storage: Many clients use elements from previous events. We store, maintain and adapt between exhibitions.

What we are taking forward
Delivering at this scale provides insights you do not get from individual projects. Here are three things we are taking with us:
-
Start early, even for local exhibitions. When you are coordinating 50+ projects in parallel, the margin for delays is small. The earlier we get involved, the better the result.
-
Standardise where you can, customise where it counts. Modular solutions with tailored graphics strike a good balance between efficiency and brand identity. There is no need to reinvent the wheel for every stand.
-
Plan dismantling as thoroughly as installation. With 50+ stands coming down at the same time, sequence and logistics are just as important as the build itself. A good dismantling plan saves time and cost for everyone.

Thank you
We are proud and grateful. More than 50 clients trusted us to represent them at Norway's largest energy exhibition. We do not take that lightly.
A big thank you to all our clients, to our partners, to OTD Energy as organiser and to Stavanger Forum as host. The energy and collaboration throughout the week was truly special.
