Exhibition stand design: see your stand before we build it.

We design your exhibition stand in photorealistic 3D, and our own team builds and assembles it on site, wherever the show is. Three deep dives below show how a Show Off stand actually comes to life.

Show Off always delivers on the details. It is rare that we need to follow up on anything at all. Things just work.

Result

All stands were delivered on time, the pavilions were ready for opening, and Show Off received strong feedback on execution, finish, and capacity during one of the year's most complex exhibition productions.

Exhibition stand design, by Show Off

Show Off AS is a Norwegian exhibition agency that specializes in exhibition stand design with photorealistic 3D visualization before production. Based in Sandnes, we design over 200 stands a year, from compact 9 sqm builds to large national pavilions of several hundred square meters. You see the stand in 3D before we build it. This page goes deep on the design process itself. For prices, buy versus rent options and global installation, see our exhibition stand page.

What is exhibition stand design?

Exhibition stand design is the process where concept, spatial layout, material choice, lighting, branding and 3D visualization come together as a finished proposal before anything is produced. At Show Off, the design phase always ends with a photorealistic 3D render that you can adjust before we move to production. That means no surprises on the show floor, and you know exactly how the stand will look the day the doors open.

How the Design Process Works

Good exhibition stand design starts with understanding what the stand should achieve, not with drawing walls. We work in five steps from brief to finished render:

  1. Brief and goals. We map the audience, message, venue, booth area and budget. Should the stand generate leads, launch a product or build the brand? The answer drives every design choice.
  2. Concept and sketches. Our designers propose a spatial approach: how visitors move, where the meeting area sits, and how the message reads from a distance. You pick a direction before we model.
  3. Materials and branding. We select surfaces, colors, lighting and graphics that match your identity and the hall's rules. Fire classes and assembly regulations are built in from the start.
  4. 3D render. You receive photorealistic images from every angle. Here we adjust lighting, materials and placement while changes are still inexpensive.
  5. Ready for production. Once the render is approved, the design goes straight to our own production team with precise measurements and material lists.

Why a 3D Render Before Build?

Most exhibition agencies show you finished builds. We show you the stand before we build it. That gives you three concrete advantages. You see exactly what you are paying for, so the quote matches an image you have actually approved. You can adjust before expensive physical changes, because moving a wall in a 3D model is free. And you can use the same render in pre-show marketing, in invitations, newsletters and social posts. Read how we take a stand from design to finished installation.

What a Good Render Decides

A photorealistic render is about more than looking good. It reveals whether the message reads from ten meters away, whether the lighting draws the eye to the right zone, and whether the meeting area has room for the conversations you want. We test camera angles that mirror how visitors actually approach the stand, so the design answers the reality of the hall, not just the page.

Design Tailored to Your Industry

We have delivered exhibition stand design to companies in maritime and shipping, energy and oil and gas, cleantech and renewables, circular economy, tech and cloud, industry, plus national pavilions at international shows. Each industry has its own communication challenges. A maritime company often needs to show large, technical products, while a tech company has to make something abstract concrete. The stand must respond to this, and that starts in the design phase.

Once the design is ready, we take the whole journey forward with our own team. See prices, buy and rent options and global installation on our exhibition stand page.

Frequently asked questions

Pricing depends on size, materials, lighting, video and whether the stand will be reused. We give an open estimate after the first brief, not a packaged offer.

Typically 6 to 12 weeks, depending on size and whether the stand is built from scratch or based on existing modules. We always plan backwards from your show date.

Yes, and across Europe. We have assembled stands in Germany, Italy and the UK. Logistics and assembly are part of the deliverable.

Yes. Our team rigs the stand, adjusts everything before doors open, and dismantles when the show ends. You arrive to a finished stand.

Yes, and we recommend it. We design for reuse when the brief allows, store the stand between shows, and update branding between each use.

We design in photorealistic 3D before production, so you see the stand before we build it. And we cover the whole journey with our own team, from first sketch to finished assembly at the show.

Exhibition stand design is the concept and 3D visualization that defines how the stand will look and function. Stand build is the physical production and assembly. Show Off delivers both, but you can also engage us for design only.
